Creating Your 3D Sample

Once you have finalized your 2D pattern, you can now view it in the 3D environment so you can create a 3D sample.

If you have used another CAD software to create your 3D sample you can easily import the file into the PDS and then continue working with the pattern. For more information about importing CAD files, see Importing a CAD File into the PDS.

The following steps are involved in creating a 3D sample:

  1. Placing/Removing Your Pattern in the 3D Environment

  2. Viewing Changes in 3D

  3. Arranging for 3D

  4. Stitching

  5. Using the Seam and Stitch Manager

  6. Defining Stitch Properties

  7. Simulating Your Pattern

  8. Adding Textures

  9. Viewing Your 3D Model in HQR

  10. Viewing Your Model in PhotoRealistic 3D Mode

  11. Taking a Snapshot of your 3D Sample
