Creating/Importing Stitches Trims and Accessories in Optitex
You can create your own components (stitches, trims and accessories) either using the PDS or via another 3rd party software such as Rhino or Maya and then import the files into the PDS so you can use them in the Seam & Stitch Manager. You will then be able to select the component when applying components to stitches.
There are two types of components:
PDS Trims: Created via the PDS and then imported via the Seam & Stitch Manager. Includes: Pipes, Welting, Binding.
MOD Stitches/Accessories: Created via 3rd party software. Includes: Visual Stitches and accessories (such as fur, zippers, etc.)
You can also create your own button shapes, otherwise known as rigid parts so you can use them when adding buttons in your pattern. For more information, see Creating Button Shapes.
Important:The process of creating and importing stitches/trims and accessories has changed starting from version O/15.6. If you are using a previous version, see Adding Trims to Your Cloth.
