The Stretch & Shear Properties page provides you with the possibility
to perform the stretch & shear test, obtain raw measurement data and
perform the calculation of Stretch property.
The Rest Length field allows you to define the initial length
of specimen part which will be actually elongated during the stretch
test. In other words, the Rest Length field provides you with
the distance between clamping grips in the initial state, prior
to measurement.
The Rest Length property is further utilized through the Stretch
analysis and calculation.
The Measurement Data tables provide you with tables containing
raw measurement data for Stretch (in Warp and Weft direction)
and Shear.
Each Measurement Data table provides you with two columns containing
measured Force and Elongation values. The Force appears using
Newton units; the Elongation appears using cm units. Every row
in the table provides you with values of a single measured Force/Elongation
pair.
Field
Description
This button is available above
the measurement data table. This button is enabled only
when the connection
to the Mark-10 Tension Meter is established. This
button runs the automated
measurement cycle. Once the measurement cycle is performed,
the corresponding measurement data table is filled with
the actual measurement results.
Stretch (Warp and Weft) and Shear fields provide you with values
of corresponding physical properties calculated based on raw measurement
data appearing within measurement data tables. The calculation
of physical properties is performed every time when the content
of the measurement data tables is updated in the result of automated
fabric measurement cycle, raw data import or manual typing.
The calculated value is displayed in the Stretch Warp, Stretch
Weft and Shear fields using grf/cm units. The Stretch and Shear
fields are accompanied with the check box allowing you to override the automatically calculated value.
