Upload Files On O/Cloud Web

Using the Upload dialog in O/Cloud Web you can upload to O/Cloud any file type you want to share with the rest of the team you work with

Note: In order to Upload files to O/Cloud, you should have appropriate permissions, read more about Permissions on O/Cloud here

 

Follow these steps to upload files to O/Cloud:

  1. Open a Workspace, click on the Create button on the top-right corner of the screen, select Upload Files

 

  1. Once the dialog opens, you will be able to either drag and drop files into it or use the Browse button to search your local computer for your files.

 

You can select multiple files for upload, and once you have selected them, they will be listed on the right side of the dialog with a progress bar indicating the upload progress.

While uploading files you will see the following icons displayed next to them:

 Upload Successful- When a file finish upload successfully you will have this icon

Upload Failed- In case there was an error in file upload it will be displayed. Hover over it to get more information about why it failed

Upload PDS files- Uploading PDS files directly on O/Cloud Web means you will not be able to open them in O/Cloud, you will only be able to share and download them. It is recommended to upload PDS files directly through PDS. Read more about uploading files from PDS

Cancel Upload- Use this button to cancel the upload of a specific file. It will be displayed as long as a file hasn't started upload or still in progress

 

  1. You can minimize the upload dialog after selecting the files, we will upload all selected files in the background, and you can continue working.

To re-open the Upload dialog- you can either click on the “Upload” widget on the top right corner or use the Create menu.

The files you have selected will be uploaded to the current location you are in. If you want to upload files to another location, you can navigate to that location and select the relevant files.

 

  1. In case you open the Upload dialog in a location where you don't have appropriate permissions, you will have a drop down in the dialog which will allow you to select a different location

 

Upload History

We will display the history of the files you uploaded until you refresh the page. so if you want to clear the list from the Upload dialog, simply refresh the browser page.

Note: If files are still being uploaded, refreshing the page will cancel the upload. So make sure that all uploads have complete before refresh
