Specimen Clamping
Prior to the test, the specimen should be clamped in lower and upper grips according to following rules:

The specimen should be clamped vertically.

The specimen should be centered within clamps.

The specimen should be placed straight with no bagginess. The significant specimen preload should be avoided as well. The specimen should be clamped as straight and unwrinkled as possible; the minor preload of 0.03N is allowed.
