Navigating the Stitches Window

The Stitches dialog shows the list of stitches defined in the current file. Through the Stitches dialog you can manage stitch information and issue a report for cost references if needed.

Note: Stitch information will be disregarded if pieces are "ignored" from 3D simulation.

To navigate the Stitches dialog:

Open PDS.

From the main menu, go to View > 3D Windows > Stitches.

 

The following columns are available in the grid:

Column

Description

Number

Displays a system provided number.

Color

Displays the color of the stitch. You can change the color by clicking on the color box.

Name

Displays the name of the stitch as you defined it. By default an automatic name is provided each time a stitch is created. This field can be edited.

Note: Starting from version O/17 SP1, if you assigned a preset to the stitch, the preset name appears as the name. This only happens if a preset was assigned, not a component.

Type

Displays the type of stitch. The type is defined in the Stitch Properties dialog. This field is read only.

Texture Name

Displays the texture of the stitch. This can be used to identify the type of accessories used on a garment, such as the type/style of a button or zipper This field is read only.

3D Length

Displays the length of the stitch. This field is read only.

Code

Displays a descriptive code for the stitch. For example, circular. This is defined in the Stitch Properties dialog.

Group

Displays the name of the group the stitch belongs to. This is defined in the Stitch Properties dialog.

Column

Description

Stitch Properties

Opens the Stitch Properties dialog. For more information, see Navigating the 3D Stitches Window.

Shader Properties

Opens the Shader Manager. For more information, see Adding Textures to your Pattern.

Stitch Segments

Displays the Stitch Segments dialog so you can see the elements of the stitch.

Select Stitch

Selects the stitch in the 2D pattern.

Unselect Stitch

Unselects the selected stitch in the 2D pattern..

3D Stitch

Activates 3D stitch mode so you can stitch the pattern.

Remove Stitch

Deletes the previous stitch.

Remove All Stitches

Deletes all stitches in the pattern.

Print

Allows you to print the information in PDF format.

Report to Excel

Allows you to print the infirmation in Excel format.
