2D Zooming by Rectangle Using the Toolbar
Zoom to a specific rectangle designated by the mouse.
This is useful when you want to quickly and interactively define the zoomed area.
To zoom by rectangle:

On the toolbar select the Zoom by Rectangle tool:

The mouse cursor changes to
.

Click and drag on the desktop.
A dashed rectangle appears based on the mouse action.

Continue dragging to reshape the rectangle as needed.

Release the mouse.
The zoom level is adjusted to the area designated by the mouse.
Note: The last selected zoom tool will remain active and can be used directly without opening the drop-down list.
