Change Cut/ Plot Order Tool

You can use the Change Cut/Plot Order option when you want to change the order in which the pieces will be cut or plotted and when you want to change the cut sequence.
Note:The Cut/Plot Order can also be changed using the Selected Piece Cut Order and Placed Piece Cutting Order commands from the Marker menu.

To use the change cut/plot order tool:

From the main menu, go to View > Cut/Plot Order.

The display changes showing the cut/plot order:

To change the cutting sequence, use your mouse to click on a piece, for example, click on piece 9.

Notice the cut order now appears as 2:

Click on the next piece, for example 11:

Notice the cut order now appears as 3

Hold down the Shift key while clicking on pieces to change the starting number.

Hold down the CTRL key while clicking on piece to open the Cut Order Optimization dialog to define advanced cutting settings. For more information, see Cutting Order.

Click again on the Cut/Plot Order icon to leave this mode.
