Bending: Height/Distance Measurement

With the Height/Distance measurement scheme, the specimen is moved along the table until the bent end of the specimen touches the step - horizontal surface located below the table at the specified vertical distance.

When such a scheme is utilized, the measurement is performed to determine the bending length (BL) and bending distance (BD) parameters.

The Bending Length property provides you with the length of bent part of the specimen.
The Bending Distance property provides you with the distance from the step to the bent end of the specimen located at the position where it touches the horizontal surface.

The Bending Height (BH) is defined as a property of the measurement device; therefore, this parameter is not adjusted from test to test.
