3D Design for Illustrator Overview

The 3D Design for Illustrator, otherwise known as 3DDI, is a plug-in for Adobe Illustrator, that allows you to easily design and modify patterns you created in Optitex within the confines of Adobe Illustrator.

With 3DDI, you can do the following:

Experiment and customize how a garment’s fabric, texture, print patterns and graphic placement look in 3D without waiting for a printed sample.
Work within the native environment of Adobe Illustrator, on a PC or a Mac, to see a 3D garment with accurate proportions and scaling.
Improve collaboration between pattern makers, designers & vendors by validating designs ready for digital or sublimation printing direct from Adobe Illustrator.
Optimize the sampling workflow with earlier validation and decision making in the design process.
Reduce physical samples and create more accurate first prototypes.
