Adding a comment to a script

You may want to add comments to a script. you can write anything you want as a comment and it will not be part of the batch process, but a reference, instruction etc.

To add a comment:

  1. Create your batch process, or load an existing batch file.

  2. On the Insert toolbar, click the Comment Icon:

    The Comment Filed is added on the main panel:

  3. Click inside the field and type your comment:

  4. Save your script. The comment is included.

  5. if you open the BTF file in Notepad, you will see your comment prefixed by a semicolon:

Note: A comment can be selected , moved , duplicated, cleared or deleted in the same way it is done for commands
