PDS 3D Overview

The Optitex 3D Creator allows you to create photorealistic 3D garments and fit them on customizable models. With the Optitex 3D Creator you can bring your flat patterns from PDS and turn them into 3D samples.

The Optitex 3D Creator is a natural extension to PDS (Pattern Design System). Creating 3D content begins with a full set of real patterns. These can be acquired from external CAD applications or directly from the PDS.

Creating 3D cloth from 2D flat patterns requires additional information which consists of:

1. Specification of Style or design sheet (details of design, stitch details, fabric or logo placement)

2. Colors, Prints, Logos, Stitch widths & textures (Shading)

3. Model measurements and sample size of style

This section introduces the basic 3D concepts, provides an overview of the different functions 3D offers and describes how to use the 3D interface to create, digitize or import to produce 3D styles.
