Flip Normals

Normals are mathematical expressions of lines perpendicular to points on a 3D surface. Normals can be used to determine which side of a surface is out or in.

You can use the Flip Normals tool to reverse the In/Out orientation of surfaces and models. This will have effect over the shading of the surface and the simulation.

Icon & Location

  • Toolbar: Editing & Selection

To use the Flip Normals tool:

  1. Ctrl+Click or use the 3d Selection tool to select the surface/model.

  2. Select the Flip Normals tool.
