Copy Closed Internal as Piece with Internals

You can use the Copy Closed Internal as Piece with Internals tool when you want to convert a closed internal with internals into a piece and create a copy allowing it to act as a separate piece as well. This creates a copy of the closed internal inside the original piece.

Note: This tool is only enabled when a piece is over a piece.

Icon & Location

• Menu: Design > Internal to Piece/ Piece to Internal > Copy Closed Internal as Piece with Internals

To use the Copy Closed Internal as Piece with Internals tool:

1. Open a PDS pattern that contains two pieces that are overlapping:
   
   

2. From the main menu, go to Design > Internal to Piece/ Piece to Internal > Copy Closed Internal as Piece with Internals
   
   The internal is copied inside the original piece with the other internal elements:
   
   

3. If you move the closed internal, it appears as a separate piece as well:
