Using the Selection Rectangle
Use the selection rectangle to select one, or more pieces, so you can apply different tasks to the selection.
To use the selection rectangle:

Click and drag to draw a selection rectangle over the pieces.
The piece (s) included in the rectangle is (are) selected, and the selection is indicated both on the desk and piece bar.

The results of the selection differ when dragging from left to right, or vice versa (by default).

When dragging from left to right, only pieces fully included in the rectangle will be selected.

When dragging from right to left, any piece partly included in the rectangle will be selected.
Note:

You may disable the right to left selection mode in the preferences (Main > Display > Use Right to Left selection mode)

To exclude or include a piece to/from the current an existing selection, hold
while clicking the piece.
