Guide Lines Properties

The guidelines properties dialog can be used to change its angle, move it precisely or align it to two points.

To change the guide line properties:

  1. Activate the selection tool.

  2. Double click a guideline.

    The guideline's properties dialog opens:

  1. Use one of the available options to modify, or reposition the guideline:

    1. ClosedHorizontal.

      • Change any line to become horizontal.

      • Move a horizontal line by a defined value.

       

      1. Select Horizontal.
      2. To move a line,  enter a value in theDistance From Linefield.
      3. ClickOK.
        The guide line is modified accordingly

    2. ClosedVertical.

      • Change any line to become vertical.

      • Move a vertical line by a defined value.

       

      1. Select Vertical.
      2. To move a line,  enter a value in theDistance From LineField.
      3. ClickOK.
        The guide line is modified accordingly

    3. ClosedAngle

      • Change any line to become angled, or modify an existing angle

      • Move an angled line by a defined value.

       

      1. Select Angleand enter the angle value in degrees in the angle field.
      2. To move a line,  enter a value in theDistance From Linefield.
      3. ClickOK.
        The guide line is modified accordingly

        Note: Clicking the button, toggles the angle value by 90 degrees or vice versa.

       

       

    4. ClosedInteractive placement.

      • Angle and position any line interactively

      • Place a line in relation to two points or a designated axis.

       

      1. Click the button.
      2. Click and drag to designate the new guide line axis.
      3. Release the mouse.
        The new guide line is repositioned based on the mouse action.

        Note: You can click and drag  between any two points, or anywhere on the desk.
