Select Tool

Use the Select tool to exit any other tool and restore the default status so you can select and move pieces.

• keyboard shortcut: z

   

To switch to Select mode:

1. On the system tools toolbar click the Select icon.

2. Alternatively use the Keyboard shortcut z.

   The previous function is exited and select mode is restored.

To select a piece:

1. Click a piece on the desk, or on the pieces bar to select it

   The selected piece is highlighted.

2. Hold Control or Shift to select more than one piece.

3. To deselect a selected piece, hold Control or Shift and click the selected piece.

   The piece becomes deselected.

4. Click an empty space to deselect everything.

To move a piece:

1. Click and drag a piece, or a selection of pieces to move it

2. Release the mouse to fix the new placement.
