Internals

You can use the Internals Sequence dialog when you want to view/ edit the different internal objects (pleats, darts, points, or notches) in the piece. This dialog is dynamic according to the type of internal you have selected; therefore not all the fields will be available or may change.

  • Toolbar: Piece Tools

  • Menu: Piece > Internals > Internals...

Dialog Explanation

Field

Description

Preview Window

You can click on the different internals with your mouse to view the different parts, or use the right/left arrows.

Click Sort or Forward to change the order sequence.

Show Numbers

Select this checkbox, if you want to see the numbers of the internals inside the preview window. Each time you click on a number in the preview, the number appears in the empty field.

Inverse

 

Delete

Click to delete the internal.

Length/Depth/Radius Perimeter

Allows you to change the length, depth or radius of the internal.

Note: This field is only available for notches.

Width/Arc's Length

Allows you to change the width or arc length.

Note: This field is only available for notches that contain arcs (U, V, etc).

Top Width

Allows you to change the width of the top.

Note: This field is only available for box notches.

Closing Marks for Pleats or Dart-Pleats

If closing marks were defined on the pleat/dart-pleat in the PDS, you can change the details here.

Draw (type)

From the drop-down list, select the command line. For example, draw, cut, drill, etc.

Radius

Enter the closing mark radius.

Distance

Enter the closing mark distance.

Baseline/Grainline Position from Center

Enter the width/height of the baseline/grainline (depends on what was selected in the piece)

Type

If an internal was selected, displays the type.

If you have selected a notch, you can change the notch type here. For example, from I notch to V notch.

Mode

Select the mode defined for the internal type.

Tool/Layer

If a tool/layer was defined in the PDS, you can change the tool/layer here.

Stripe Adjust Number

If the internal was defined with Stripe Adjust in the PDS, you can change the number here.

Stripe Adjust Method

If the internal was defined with Stripe Adjust in the PDS, you can change the method here.

Operation Stop

If the internal was defined with a stop operation in the PDS, you can change the operation here.

Velocity/Reduction

If the internal was defined with velocity/reduction, you can change the velocity/reduction here.

Plotting/Cutting Time

 

Before the external contour

Select if you want the plotter/cutter to stop before cutting the external contour.

Together with the external contour

Select if you want to cut/plot the internal together with the external contour.

After the external contour

Select if you want the plotter/cutter to stop after cutting the external contour.

Exclusive View

 

Regular View

Select if you want the internal to be plotted/cut in all instances of the piece.

Left-Side Pieces Only

Select if you want the internal to be plotted/cut on left side pieces only.

Right-Side Pieces Only

Select if you want the internal to be plotted/cut on right side pieces only.

Notch of Pleat/Dart

This section is only available for pleats/ darts.

Note: These fields are only available from version O/17 and above.

Form

From the drop-down list, select the pleat/dart form. For example, I notch, V notch, etc.

Direction

From the drop-down list, select the location of the notch: inside or outside.

Location

From the drop-down list, select the location of the notch: both, first side, end.

Depth

Enter the depth of the notch for the dart/pleat. This field is available according to the type of notch and dart/pleat you defined in the PDS.

Note: These fields are only available from version O/17 SP1 and above.

Width

Enter the width of the notch for the dart/pleat. This field is available according to the type of notch and dart/pleat you defined in the PDS.

This is not available for I-Notch.

Top Width

Enter the top width of the notch for the dart/pleat. This field is available according to the type of notch and dart/pleat you defined in the PDS.

This is not available for darts (at all), or pleats with I-Notch or V-Notch.
