My computer
crashed while working on a pattern, how do I open the automatically saved
file?
Go to File
>File Utilities > Open Backup. This automatically opens
the last file you worked on.
You can change the location this
file is saved in the Preferences box. Go to Preferences
> Save > AutoSave Backup File>File
name.
Note:
You can also find older backup files in this location if required.
My buttons show
up as circles, not plus signs. Why is this?
This
depends on the command attributed to the buttons. To change this,
go to the button properties: Internal
Properties > Plotting and Cutting Attributes > Command
and change the command to Draw.
You
can also set the default command for new buttons: Preferences
> Internal and Text > Internal > Internal Command > Button.
I
used to get a message asking me about a location of points, but I no longer
get it. How can I bring this message back?
You are no longer seeing this message,
because this dialog was disabled. To have this dialog displayed
permanently, go toPreferences > Main > Confirmation
and Warningand thenselect theOpen
the Move Point/ Point Attributes Dialogcheckbox.
Note:You can have this box appear only when
needed by pressing the ALTbutton before clicking.
How
can I select all the pieces at once?
In theEditmenu
clickSelect
All.
Or
Use
the keyboard shortcut Ctrl +A.
Can
I save reports in Word or Google Docs?
Currently you can only open reports via Microsoft Excel.
Why
are points hidden when I open a file?
If the file includes a large amount of
points, PDS will hide them in order to allow the file to open quickly.
After the file opens, go toView
and Selectionand select
the checkboxes next to the Grading points and Non-Grading points if
desired.
You also need to
"allow" the points to be visible in the Optitex .ini parameters.
The following values are only suggestions. You may change the values
to any number to view all your points. All of the below should be
put in both the [OptiTex PDS] and [OptiTex PDS XX] sections
of your .ini file.
